In short

One adventurous group safari door Zambia Okay Namibia whereby Culture, free parking Okay Nature to be poorly represented.

A visit is being paid to the Victoria Falls. In Namibia, all highlights are visited, such as a game drive in the Mahango Game Reserve, a Boat trip about Kwando River and crossing the Caprivi Strip.

In the Etosha National Park become game drives made, at Brandberg viewing of the Bushman rock paintings, visit to the coastal village Swakopmund where you can do fun activities such as a canoe trip among the seals at Walvis Bay, quad biking, sandboarding and finally a visit to the red dunes of the Sossusvlei

Day 1: Livingstone

Around 14:00, the group will gather at the Waterfront Lodge to meet the fellow travellers and the guides.

Rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 2: Livingstone

Full day in Livingstone with a visit to Victoria Falls.

Day 3: Livingstone - Caprivi Strip (Katima Mulilo)

Depart from Livingstone and Zambia and drive to the Caprivi Strip via Kazungula and Ngoma.

The Caprivi Strip is a wildlife-rich border region between Botswana and Namibia.

In the afternoon, a boat trip on the Zambezi River in search of the animals that come here to drink.

Day 4: Caprivi Strip (Divundu)

Departure from Caprivi Mutoya Lodge and deeper into the Caprivi towards the west.

In the afternoon, a game drive in Mahango Game Reserve.

Overnight stay at Ngepi Camp in a twin treehouse with bathroom. (treehouse)

Day 5: Caprivi Strip - Rundu

Quiet morning enjoying the beautiful surroundings and the many birds this region is home to.

Afterwards, set off towards Rundu with small villages, grass huts and local markets along the way.

Day 6: Rundu - Etosha National Park

Depart from Rundu and drive towards the renowned Etosha National Park. Arrive and the rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 7 - 8: Etosha National Park

Two days with a morning and afternoon game drive in Etosha National Park.

Between game drives, you can relax by the swimming pool.

Day 9: Etosha National Park – Brandberg

Depart from Etosha and drive south through a magnificent, desert-like landscape.

Today's travel destination is the area around Brandberg Mountain.

Today's lodge is situated on the dry bed of the Ugab River, which is home to the rare desert elephant, among other wildlife.

In the afternoon, a guided walk with a local guide to the famous rock paintings of White Lady Rock.

Day 10: Brandberg - Swakopmund

After breakfast, depart from Brandberg and drive in a south-westerly direction to the town of Swakopmund.

On the way to Swakopmund, a visit will first be made to the seal colony at Cape Cross.

The afternoon is at leisure in and around Swakopmund.

Day 11: Swakopmund

Day at leisure in Swakopmund where numerous activities can be undertaken such as sandboarding, ocean canoe safari, Living Desert excursions, scenic flights.

Day 13: Namib-Naukluft National Park

Full day in Naukluft Park with a visit to Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei.

Overnight stay in the Desert Camp in a double permanent tent with bathroom. 

  • Included activities: entrance fees Namib Naukluft N.P., hike to Sossusvlei
  • Optional activities: for those who do not wish to or are unable to complete the 3.5 km walk, transport in a 4WD vehicle can be booked for N$ 100 per person (one-way).

Day 14: Namib-Naukluft National Park - Windhoek

This morning, after breakfast, depart from the Namib-Naukluft National Park and drive to Windhoek. Upon arrival in Windhoek, the rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 15: Windhoek

The safari ends after breakfast around 08:00.

If the flight departs in the evening, there is still time to visit the city of Windhoek on your own.

Number of participants:
Our comfort safaris are run in small groups to offer the most flexible and best possible itinerary.

Small groups mean more time for the traveller, shorter waiting times and a cosy, personal atmosphere during the trip.

The average age on this tour is 30-55, but ages range from 20 to 65+ years.

Minimum age for children is 12 years provided they are accompanied by at least 1 adult; there is no upper age limit, but travellers aged 65+ are asked to complete a self-signed fitness declaration.

Guaranteed departure from 4 people/maximum 12 participants.

Language
As the participants on the above trip come from different countries, English will be spoken by the guide during the trip (with the exception of departure dates marked with a *, during which German will be spoken primarily).

The journey is guided by 2 certified guides for optimal knowledge, information and individual attention.

Visa
If you are in possession of a Dutch passport, you will need a valid passport for travel to Botswana and Zambia which is valid for at least 6 months upon arrival in the country.

For a stay of less than 90 days, you do not need a visa for Botswana and Zambia. For Namibia, since 1 April 2025, you need a visa plus a passport that is valid for at least 6 months upon arrival in the country.

You can apply for the Namibian visa online on the Namibian government's website (information in English). https://eservices.mhaiss.gov.na/holidayvisa-services.

Ensure there are enough blank pages in the passport for the necessary stamps.

If you hold a nationality other than Dutch, please contact the consulate of the country in question. AfrikaOnline does not arrange visas.

If you are travelling with children under the age of 18 to Zambia, Botswana or Namibia, you may be required to be in possession of a copy of the unabridged birth certificate.

Naturally, during the trip, an effort will be made to visit villages and make contact with the local inhabitants.

Transport
Transport during the trip is by a special overland safari truck with 10/12 seats or, approximately 5% from all departure points, a safari minibus (air-conditioned Mercedes Sprinter), whilst transfers in the Okavango are carried out in open 4×4 safari vehicles with a local guide.

Travel – Cancellation Insurance
Taking out travel insurance is mandatory. It is recommended to take out cancellation insurance.

If the insurance policies are not taken out via AfrikaOnline, we kindly request you to provide the name of the insurer and the policy numbers for both insurances to AfrikaOnline by email as soon as possible and well before your departure.

Participation
From 12 years old, no maximum age. However, at least 1 adult must accompany every child under 18.

During the trip, walks will be made that require a certain level of stamina.

The walks are graded as easy to moderate and are always optional.

On all camping trips, participation is required in setting up the tent camp, preparing the meals and, of course, helping with the washing up.

Teamspirit is part of the fun of travelling in a group.

Overnight stays
Guesthouses, lodges and permanent tented camps: 14 nights in nice guesthouses, lodges and permanent tented camps in a double room with bathroom.

During the trip, your co-operation will be required for setting up and dismantling the camp.

Meals:
During the trip, good and healthy meals are prepared using mostly local produce.

To give you an idea of what the meals will be like: breakfast will consist of cornflakes with milk, toast with jam, and a regular English breakfast with eggs and bacon, fruit juice, coffee, and tea.

Lunch will most often consist of cheese, cold cuts, salads, and bread (rolls) (picnic style). Dinner will be the most elaborate with regular BBQs, stir-fries, and the typically South African Potjiekos (all-in-one pot dish, delicious!!!!) prepared over the campfire.

If there are special dietary requirements (due to vegetarian preference and/or allergies), please state them when booking the trip so that they can be taken into account in advance.

During this trip, 14 breakfasts, 11 lunches and 8 dinners are included in the tour price, of which 7 breakfasts are at a lodge. The remaining meals will be prepared by the guides and eaten around the campfire or in a boma.

During the trip, cooperation is requested with setting and clearing tables and washing up.

Medical conditions:
Anyone in good health may participate in this trip.

Luggage
Travel bag (due to limited car space, it is best to pack luggage in a travel bag or backpack) with a maximum of 12 kg per person.

Also take a small rucksack or bag for personal items to have in the car.

A hard case cannot be taken.

Reservations
The agent reserves the right to amend a programme if the agent deems it necessary due to certain conditions, force majeure or unforeseen circumstances.

Should the vehicle break down, the agent will not be responsible for alternative accommodation other than camping, and there will be no compensation for flights or similar.

Agent requests a compensation form to be signed prior to departure for the trip.
