Day 1: Johannesburg - eSwatini
Depart from Johannesburg and drive towards the Mpumalanga province and eSwatini (Swaziland) and drive towards the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day 2: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary
The day is free to relax and enjoy the surroundings or to take part in activities offered at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary.
Overnight stay in a twin hut at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary Main Camp.

Day 3: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary – Hlane Royal Game Reserve

Arrival and after lunch, a rhino game drive through the park. Rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 4: Hlane Royal Game Reserve - Xai Xai (Mozambique)
This morning, I got up early and left Hlane Game Reserve after breakfast, driving to the Lomashasha/Namaacha border post with Mozambique.
After clearing customs, we drive past villages and banana plantations towards the coast and the Indian Ocean.
Arrived in Xai Xai in the afternoon, just in time for a lovely walk along the beach to stretch our legs after the long journey.

Day 5: Xai Xai – Vilanculos
After breakfast, we leave Xai Xai and drive north towards the town of Vilanculos, which is famous for its idyllic white sandy beaches and azure blue sea.
Although it's a long day's driving, it certainly won't be a boring one.
En route to Vilanculos, the journey passes numerous villages, coconut, cashew and sugar cane plantations, giving a good impression of the colourful landscape along the way.
Of course, there’ll be a stop along the way at a local village or market where you can stretch your legs and have a look around the colourful stalls.

Day 6: Vilanculos
This morning after breakfast we will board a traditional Dhow for a visit to Magaruque Island.
A whole day to visit the island, go snorkelling and enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Indian Ocean.
At the end of the day, back to Vilanculos and the Sailway Camp.

Day 7: Vilanculos – Barra Beach (Inhambane)

Day 8: Barra Beach
A full day to spend as you wish in and around Praia de Barra. You can relax by the sea, go for a walk on the beach or book excursions such as scuba diving, snorkelling, quad biking, ocean safaris and much more.

Day 9: Barra Beach
This morning after breakfast, we'll drive to the village of Tofo and visit Tofo Beach, a beach known for the whale sharks and manta rays that swim off its coast.
The village of Tofo has a cosy atmosphere with nice bars and small restaurants.

Day 11: Maputo – Kruger Park area
Depart from Maputo and drive to the Lebombo/Komatipoort border and head towards the Mpumalanga province and Kruger National Park.

Day 12: Kruger National Park
Early rise this morning for a full day of game driving in Kruger National Park in a special, open 4x4 safari vehicle.

A visit will be made to Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon including God's Window and the Three Rondavels.
Back to the lodge in the afternoon.

Small groups mean more time for the traveller, shorter waiting times and a friendly, personal atmosphere during the trip. The average age on this tour is between 25-45 years, but ages range from 8 to 70 years.

Please print this out and keep it safe during your trip. You will also need to ensure there are enough blank pages side-by-side in your passport for the necessary stamps, allow at least 2 pages for South Africa and 4 for Mozambique.

Transport during the trip is by modern 12-seater air-conditioned coach.

Participation
From 10 years old, no maximum age. However, for every child under 18, at least 1 adult must travel with them.
For travellers over 65 years of age, a health declaration may sometimes be required from the GP. For children under 10 years of age, availability is on request.
During the trip, walks will be made that require a certain level of stamina.
The walks are graded as easy to moderate and are always optional.

In simple hotels, guesthouses, bed & breakfasts, bungalows, chalets, and permanent tented camps.
On request, a double bed or two separate beds and with a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
Meals:
During the trip, good and healthy meals are prepared using mostly local produce.
To give you an idea of what the meals will look like: breakfast will consist of cornflakes with milk, toast with jam, and occasionally a full English breakfast with eggs and bacon, fruit juice, coffee and tea. Lunch will largely consist of cheese, cold meats, salads and bread rolls (picnic style).
The dinner will be most extensive with regular BBQ, stir-fries and the typical South African Potjiekos (all-in-one pot dish, delicious!!!!) prepared over the campfire.
If there are special dietary requirements (due to vegetarian preference and/or allergies), please state them when booking the trip so that they can be taken into account in advance.
Coffee and tea will also be served during dinner.
Other drinks are excluded and must be purchased independently. During this trip, 10 breakfasts, 1 lunch, and 11 dinners are included in the tour price.

Anyone in good health can participate in this trip.
Luggage
Travel bag (due to space in the car, it is best to bring luggage in a travel bag or backpack) with a maximum of 20 kg per person. For during the day in the car, it is handy to have a small backpack for the usual items such as sun cream, water bottles, sunglasses, etc.
