One adventurous Okay Spectacular safari along the Highlights Van Southern Africa.

During the safari trip a visit will be made to Victoria Falls, the Caprivi Strip with game drives and boat cruises, game drives in Etosha National Park, Bushman rotoschilderingen in Brandberg, and sandboarding and sea kayaking Swakopmund and walking over the spectacular Rode Dunes of the Sossusvlei.

This price is based on two travellers. For solo travellers; Accommodation during the safari on a shared basis (at no extra cost) or a supplement of €200 p.p. (2026) for a single tent/room during the trip.

• Extra overnight stay in Livingstone (Waterfront Adventure Village room) at the start of the trip: €86 (2026) per person per night in a double room based on two people per room, including breakfast.
• Single room supplement €41.00 (2026) per person per night including breakfast.
• Extra overnight stay in Windhoek at the end of the trip (Terra Africa or Capbon Guesthouse double room): €59 per person (2025) and €65 (2026) per night in a double room based on two people per room, including breakfast.
• Single room supplement €29 (2026) per person per night including breakfast. Arrival and/or departure transfer can be booked optionally for €30 per person.

Flight
The stated travel sum excludes international flights. However, we can offer you flights from all airlines connected to IATA BSP.

Upon request, we can provide you with a price quotation for various airlines. Flight price indication for this trip: KLM EUR 850 per person including airport tax for the Amsterdam – Johannesburg – Amsterdam route. Price indication for the flight from Johannesburg to Livingstone with Airlink for approx. EUR 245 per person and flight Windhoek – Johannesburg with Airlink EUR 185 per person.

Extension of the journey
If you prefer a longer or shorter stay in Africa, that is possible. A “tailor-made” trip to your personal wishes is also an option, of course. If you share your wishes with us, we will be happy to prepare a great quote for you.

Hop on Hop off
This 15-day trip is part of the 21-day Zambia, Namibia, Botswana camping group tour (the AOL 419).

Since not everyone has such a long holiday, the trip can be made in two stages, a 15-day or a 21-day trip.

When you opt for this shorter version, the trip ends after breakfast on day 15 in Windhoek, and the rest of the group continues on to Livingstone.

The travel company is 100%, owned by a South African, and aims to make a real difference to the lives of the people in the countries it visits. During this trip, the following causes are supported; Victoria Falls Waterfront Lodge is owned by a Zimbabwean owner through 100%.

To save water, 99% of the water used at the lodge is filtered and reused.

They also support the Kwame School and offer a six-month hospitality training course to students graduating in this field, to give them a good start in life after they finish their studies. Nkwazi Lodge, located at 100%, is owned by a Namibian and the staff are local residents.

The owner of the lodge has set up a small school and offers 40 to 50 children 3 meals a day and education in preparation for the first year of primary school.

They also offer financial support to 40-50 primary and secondary school pupils and a number of university students. The guided tours of the local village provide financial support to local residents.

The lodge also uses 25% of its electricity from solar power, and 50% of the vegetables required by the lodge are grown on site. The Terra Africa guesthouse in Windhoek is 100% Namibian-owned and all the staff are local residents.

Glass and plastic are separated on-site for recycling and any cleaning agents used are biodegradable.

Number of participants:
Our camping safaris are conducted in small groups to offer the best and most flexible itinerary possible. Small groups mean more time for the traveller, less waiting time and a cosy, personal atmosphere during the trip.

The average age on this tour is 38-45, but ages range from 20 to 60+ years. The minimum age for children is 12 years when accompanied by at least one adult. There is no upper age limit, but travellers aged 65+ are required to provide a medical “fitness to travel” certificate, available from your GP.

Language
Because the participants on the above tour come from different countries, English will be spoken by the guide during the tour (with the exception of departure dates marked with an * during which German will be spoken primarily). The tour will be accompanied by 2 certified guides for optimal knowledge, information and individual attention.

Visa
If you hold Dutch nationality, as of April 2025 you will require a visa for travel to Namibia, in addition to a passport that remains valid for at least 6 months after your return from the trip.

If you are entering Namibia via Windhoek Airport, you can apply for a “visa on arrival” at a special counter (allow for longer waiting times) or apply for an e-visa no more than 90 days before departure via the following link https://eservices.mhaiss.gov.na/.

There must also be enough blank pages side-by-side in the passport for the required stamps (at least 3). If you hold a nationality other than Dutch, you will need to obtain information from the Namibian Consulate yourself.

If you are travelling with children under 18 years of age, you must be in possession of a copy of the International Birth Certificate.

Highlights of the trip:

Naturally, during the trip, an effort will be made to visit villages and make contact with the local inhabitants.

Transport
Transport during the trip is by a special 10/12-seater overland safari truck or a safari minibus (Toyota Hiace). Comfortable travel and excellent for game drives.

Travel – Cancellation Insurance
Taking out travel insurance is compulsory.

It is recommended to take out cancellation insurance.

If the insurance policies are not taken out via AfrikaOnline, we kindly request you to provide the name of the insurer and the policy numbers for both insurances to AfrikaOnline by email as soon as possible and well before your departure.

Participation
From 12 years old, no maximum age. However, at least 1 adult must travel for every child under 18. During the trip, there will be walks that require a certain level of stamina.

The walks are graded as easy to moderate and are always optional. For all camping trips, participation is requested in setting up the camp, preparing meals, and of course, helping with the washing up.

Teamspirit is part of the fun of travelling in a group.

Overnight stays
Camping: 11 nights at campsites in National Parks or towns. Campsites in Namibia are generally excellent, with good facilities such as hot and cold showers, a restaurant, washing machines, post office/telephone booths, and a souvenir shop.

Some campsites have a swimming pool. Sometimes a campsite can also be beautifully situated, but the disadvantage is that there are fewer facilities. The camping equipment;

Spacious and comfortable igloo tent measuring 2.2 x 2.2 x 1.8 metres, which are easy to set up/take down. The tents have “built-in” mosquito nets. Furthermore, there are mattresses approximately 5 cm thick and comfortable camping chairs with backrests.

Guesthouse 2 nights in a nice guesthouse (Dunedin Star or equivalent) in Swakopmund in a double room with a bathroom. 1 night in a nice guesthouse (Terra Africa or equivalent in Windhoek) in a double room with a bathroom.

Your cooperation will be required during the trip for setting up and taking down the tents and camp.

Meals:
During the journey, good and healthy meals are prepared using mostly local produce.

To give you an idea of what the meals will be like: breakfast will consist of cornflakes with milk, toast with jam, and a regular English breakfast with eggs and bacon, fruit juice, coffee, and tea.

Lunch will mostly consist of cheese, cold cuts, salads and bread (picnic style). Dinner will be the most elaborate with regular BBQs, stir-fries and the typically South African Potjiekos (an all-in-one pot dish, delicious!!!!) prepared over the campfire.

If there are special dietary requirements (due to vegetarian preference and/or allergies), please state them when booking the trip so that they can be taken into account in advance.

During dinner, coffee and tea are also served. Other drinks are not included and must be purchased separately. During this trip, 14 breakfasts, 11 lunches, and 9 dinners are included in the travel sum.

During the trip, cooperation is requested with setting and clearing tables and washing up.

Medical conditions:
Anyone in good health may participate in this trip.

Luggage
Travel bag (due to limited space in the car, we recommend packing your luggage in a travel bag or backpack) with a maximum of 12 kg per person. In addition, a small separate rucksack or a handy bag for personal items.

Please bring your own (warm) sleeping bag and a small pillow (sleeping bags can be hired for approx. US$ 1 per day; please specify this when booking if required)

Reservations
The agent reserves the right to amend a programme if the agent deems it necessary due to certain conditions, force majeure or unforeseen circumstances.

Should the vehicle break down, the agent will not be responsible for alternative accommodation other than camping, and there will be no compensation for flights or similar.

The agent requests a liability waiver form to be signed before departure of the trip. Failure to sign this form may result in the passenger being refused travel.
