Programme
Day 1: Nairobi - Arusha
Depart Nairobi from the Boulevard Nairobi hotel at 07:00 AM (please be there at least 30 minutes before departure) after breakfast and drive to the Namanga border with Tanzania.
After border formalities, drive to the town of Arusha, the starting point for most safaris in Tanzania.
Upon arrival in Arusha, check in at the lodge and the rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 2: Arusha – Serengeti National Park
Today, an early start and straight after breakfast, we’ll drive into Serengeti National Park. En route to the camp, we’ll have a game drive through the world-famous Serengeti National Park.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Early start and a full day of game driving in Serengeti National Park.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park - Karatu
This morning I got up early and went on a last game drive through the Serengeti on the way to the Ngorongoro Crater.
Drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and have an afternoon game drive in the crater. After the game drive, depart from the Ngorongoro Crater and drive to the nearby village of Karatu.
The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 5: Karatu - Moshi
This morning after breakfast, we visited the Mto wa Mbu market where we did some shopping and could buy lovely souvenirs.
Then, via Arusha, drive to the town of Moshi, situated at the foot of Kilimanjaro.
On the way, we see coffee plantations, rice paddies, small villages and open savannahs.
Arrival in Moshi in the afternoon and rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 6: Moshi – Bagamoyo
Today, a long drive towards the coast with a stop for lunch at a nice location along the way.
En route, we will pass through charming, typically African villages, and if there is enough time, we will stop somewhere for a short visit. The accommodation in Bagamoyo is situated on the beach.
Arrival at the hotel and the rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to relax or take a nice walk.

Day 7: Bagamoyo – Dar es Salaam – Zanzibar (Nungwi)
Depart from Bagamoyo and drive to Dar es Salaam and the harbour. The ferry will take us across to the paradisiacal island of Zanzibar, the spice island, in two hours.
On arrival in Zanzibar, drive towards the village of Nungwi in the north-east of Zanzibar. Arrive in Nungwi and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 8: Zanzibar (Nungwi)
Full day at Nungwi beach. If the beach doesn't appeal, there's an option to book one of the excursions offered by the guide, such as fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving, a visit to the turtle sanctuary, a visit to a local village, and more.

Day 9: Zanzibar (Stonetown)
Depart from Nungwi after breakfast and drive towards Stone Town. En route, a visit will be made to a spice plantation. A guided walk will be taken around the plantation and there will be an opportunity to purchase fresh spices.
The capital, Stone Town, a small town with many Arab influences dating back to the time of the slave and spice trade (think of the VOC). After lunch, a walk through Stone Town, including Freddie Mercury's birthplace and the local market.

Onze kampeer groepssafari’s worden uitgevoerd in kleine groepjes om een zo goed en flexibel mogelijk programma aan te bieden. Kleine groepjes houdt in; meer tijd voor de reiziger, minder wachttijden en een gezellige, persoonlijke sfeer tijdens de reis.

Language
Omdat de deelnemers aan bovenstaande reis uit verschillende landen komen wordt er tijdens de reis Engels gesproken door de gids. De reis word begeleid door 1 gecertificeerde gids en een Engelssprekende chauffeur voor optimale kennis, informatie en individuele aandacht. Op de reisdata die worden aangegeven met een * reist er ook een Duitse vertaler mee, de voertaal tijdens de reis is nog steeds Engels.
Visa
Indien u in het bezit bent van een Nederlands / Belgisch paspoort wat nog tenminste 6 maanden geldig is vertrek uit het land. Voor zowel Kenia en Tanzania is een visum verplicht.

Transport
Vervoer tijdens de reis is speciale safaritruck met voor elke stoel een veiligheidsgordel en voor iedere reizigers een eigen locker voor de rugzak in op te bergen. Comfortabel reizen en uitstekend om game drives mee te maken.
Grote ramen zodat iedereen een goed uitzicht heeft. Imperiaal en aanhanger voor bagage.

Participation
Vanaf 8 jaar (afhankelijk van de reis), geen maximum leeftijd. Wel moet er voor elke kind onder de 18 jaar tenminste 1 volwassenen meereizen.
Voor reizigers boven de 65 jaar wordt soms gevraagd een gezondheidsverklaring op de vragen bij de huisarts.

The walks are graded as easy to moderate and are always optional.
Overnight stays
Camping: 4 overnachtingen op campings in de Nationale Parken of steden. De campings zijn eenvoudig met eenvoudige faciliteiten als soms koude douches en gezamenlijke toiletfaciliteiten (zelf toiletpapier en wetwipes meenemen).
Sommige accommodaties beschikken over een zwembad. Soms kan een camping ook prachtig gelegen zijn maar is het nadeel dat er minder faciliteiten zijn. De kampeeruitrusting;
Spacious and comfortable igloo tent measuring 2.2 x 2.2 x 1.5 metres, which is easy to set up and take down. The tents have “built-in” mosquito nets. Furthermore, there are mattresses approximately 5 cm thick and comfortable camping chairs with backrests.
Hotel: 5 overnachtingen in comfortabel hotel/guesthouse/permanente safari tenten met bedden. Alle kamers zijn tweepersoons kamers met aparte bedden en een privé badkamer meestal met douche en toilet.
Meals:
During the trip, good and healthy meals will be prepared using predominantly local products. To give you an idea of what the meals will be like: breakfast will consist of cornflakes with milk, toast with jam, and occasionally a full English breakfast with eggs and bacon, fruit juice, coffee, and tea.
De lunch zal veelal bestaan uit kaas, vleeswaren, salades en brood(jes) (picknick stijl). Het diner zal het meest uitgebreid zijn met regelmatig bbq, roerbakschotels en de typisch Zuid Afrikaanse Potjiekos (alles in één kookpot gerecht, heerlijk !!!!) klaargemaakt boven het kampvuur. Indien er speciale diëten zijn (vanwege vegetarische voorkeur en/of allergieën) deze graag doorgeven bij boeking van de reis zodat er van te voren rekening mee gehouden kan worden.
Tijdens het diner wordt ook koffie en thee geschonken. Overige dranken zijn exclusief en moeten zelf worden ingekocht. 9x ontbijt, 6x lunch en 6x diner inbegrepen.
Medical conditions:
Iedereen met een goede gezondheid kan deelnemen aan deze reis. Vaccinaties verplicht, check bij uw huisarts of GGD
Luggage
Reistas (i.v.m. met de ruimte in de safari truck is het beste om de bagage in een reistas of rugzak mee te nemen, harde koffers niet toegestaan) met maximaal 20 kg pp. Zelf slaapzak, kussen en handdoek meenemen. Voor in de safari truck een kleine rugzak voor de persoonlijke spullen.
