Tourist facilities and service providers in eSwatini are adopting a ‘Zero Cash’ policy.

From 01 July 2026, various tourist facilities and service providers in Eswatini (Swaziland) will have a ‘Zero Cash’ policy (no cash payments).

This initiative has been implemented at selected border crossings, attractions and tourism enterprises such as Swazi Candles, Ngwenya Glass and the various parks managed by Big Game Parks, among others. The policy is part of ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency, enhance guest and staff safety, and offer more secure and convenient payment methods.

Therefore, from 01-07-2026, cash payments will no longer be accepted. Visitors and guests can use approved electronic payment methods for entry fees, accommodation, activities, in restaurants and gift shops.
