In short
A versatile, small-scale group safari as well as visits to wildlife parks, also pay attention to the culture of Tanzania and the local people.
During this trip, game drives will be made in the Tarangire National Park, the Lake Manyara National Park, the Serengeti National Park and the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater.

Programme
Day 1: Arrival Arusha Airport
Upon arrival at Arusha Airport and after completing immigration and customs formalities, you will be welcomed and transferred to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, there will be time to explore the surroundings of the lodge, take a dip in the swimming pool, and have lunch (not included).

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
This morning after breakfast, we depart from the African Tulip hotel and drive to Arusha town. Here, the guide will do some last-minute shopping, and there will also be an opportunity for you to privately purchase drinks and snacks.
After this, leave the inhabited world and drive towards Tarangire National Park. Arrive at Tarangire National Park around lunchtime and have a picnic lunch in a nice spot.
After lunch, a first game drive through Tarangire National Park, which is known for its magnificent baobab trees and large elephant population.
Overnight stay at Tarangire Simba Lodge (or equivalent) in a double luxury safari tent with bathroom.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Early start and after breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is known for its large colonies of flamingos and its tree-climbing lions.
Picnic lunch at a nice spot. Afterwards, drive to Karatu Simba Lodge.
Rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park - Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart from Lake Manyara and drive towards the Great Rift Valley and the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater.
The Ngorongoro Crater offers a unique experience with the complete Big Five, including a small population of the endangered black rhinoceros, all within a relatively small area.
After visiting the Ngorongoro Crater, drive to the world-famous Serengeti National Park.
On the way to the camp, a first game drive through the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Arrive at the Kisura Serengeti Tented Safari Camp before dark.
Overnight stay at Kisura Serengeti Tented Safari Camp (or equivalent) in luxury double safari tents with en-suite bathroom.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Today a full day game drive into the central part of the Serengeti National Park, which is characterised by vast grasslands and where large herds of wildebeest and zebra are found.
Due to the presence of large numbers of hoofed animals, many hungry predators, such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas, can be found in this part of the Serengeti, hoping for an easy meal and always on the lookout for weak or young animals which are easy prey.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park – Olduvai Gorge – Karatu

On the way, a visit to the Olduvai Gorge. Picnic lunch at a lovely spot en route.
Overnight stay at Karatu Simba Lodge (or equivalent) in a double room with en-suite bathroom.

Extension of the journey
If you prefer a private safari or a longer or shorter stay in Tanzania, that is certainly possible.
Before this trip, you can stay a number of nights in Arusha to acclimatise, an extra night costs €188 per person at the African Tulip hotel or €131 per person per night at the Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge.
After the safari, you can still relax wonderfully on the beach in Zanzibar, or if you haven't had enough of safaris, you can extend your trip with a wonderful safari in Kenya or through the southern part of Tanzania.
A private tailor-made trip, taking your personal travel wishes into account, is of course also possible.

Our safaris are conducted in small groups to offer the best possible and most flexible programme. Small groups mean more time for the traveller, less waiting time, and a convivial, personal atmosphere during the trip.
The minimum age for this trip is 12 years, and travellers aged 65 and over may be asked for a medical “fitness to travel” certificate, which can be obtained from your doctor.

Visa
When you are staying in Tanzania for less than 3 months and you are the holder of a Dutch passport, this passport must be valid for at least 6 months on arrival in Tanzania, plus it must have sufficient blank pages for the necessary stamps.

Luggage
