20-day Cape Town to Victoria Falls comfort group safari

We travel north through Namaqualand to the Orange/Gariep River, which forms the border between South Africa and Namibia.

In the spring (July to September), there is a sea of wildflowers to be seen on this route. After a short stop in the village of Springbok to do some shopping, we drive to the Vioolsdrift border.

After crossing the border, it's a short distance to the camp.

Relaxing around the campfire where we can get to know each other better. The Orange / Gariep River forms the border between South Africa and Namibia.

’In the morning, there is the opportunity to explore the river by canoe.

Choose between a relaxed morning at the camp by the river or a half-day canoe trip (fee and optional). In the afternoon, drive to the Fish River Canyon.

The Fish River is the longest river in Namibia; at 650 km in length and the canyon is situated along the lower reaches of this seasonal river. Hike along the Fish River Canyon. Afterwards, drive to the town of Keetmanshoop.

After breakfast, a visit to the Quiver Tree Forest and the “Giants Playground,” so named for its rock formations.

After visiting inland and driving towards the Namib Desert and the dunes of Sossusvlei. Arrival and the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the surroundings, take a short walk and set up camp.

The desert night sky is very clear and many people enjoy spotting the unique southern constellations, including the well-known Southern Cross.

Woke up early today and drove to the Namib-Naukluft National Park where we will climb Dune 45 to view the desert from a different perspective. The red sand of the dunes colours beautifully bright with the rising sun.

After the ascent of Dune 45, breakfast and a transfer by 4x4 vehicle to the famous Sossusvlei. Here we will take a walk through the “pans” and visit Deadvlei.

After breakfast, a guided walk through the desert with an expert guide.

Then depart for a magnificent drive through the desert-like Namib-Naukluft National Park, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn.

On the way to Swakopmund, we pass through the town of Walvis Bay.

We will stop to look at flamingos (if we are lucky) before we head to the Atlantic coastal village of Swakopmund.

Upon arrival in Swakopmund, information will be provided about the many activities you can participate in the next day, and there will be time to explore the centre of Swakopmund.

Today, an excursion is being made to Spitzkoppe, also popularly known as the Matterhorn of Namibia. A walk will be taken in search of San rock art, and there will be beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding landscape along the way.

We'll spend our day searching for the Big Five, visiting various watering holes along the way so you can take beautiful photos of the different animals.

The next two days will be spent in the Kwai Conservation area.

In the morning (early) there is time for an optional flight over the Okavango Delta, after which you will depart from Maun (take a small backpack with you for the next two days, the rest of your belongings will stay in the truck) in 4x4 safari vehicles heading for the Okavango Delta and the Kwai Conservation area.

In the afternoon, a mokoro excursion in the Okavango Delta.
