Hello Leony,

Thanks for your message. It was quite an adjustment yesterday when we stepped out of the airport in Paris and it was -5 degrees. A difference of over 30 degrees from the day before in Cape Town.

We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed it to the last minute. The accommodations were all okay, ranging from good to a few that were truly fantastic. We saw a lot, ate delicious food, enjoyed the beautiful, varied landscape, and found friendly people with good service everywhere. Although the huge contrast between rich and poor is evident even in the smallest villages and you hear a lot about crime, we personally never felt threatened, nor did we experience or witness anything unpleasant.

We will definitely come back to South Africa again.

Dear Leony,

It was great. Beautiful country, very nice people and a pleasant climate. The locations were perfect. Sometimes we looked from the tent across the sea, where dolphins jumped along the coast. The lodges and hotels were also good! Top locations and often nicely decorated. Cape Town is also a really beautiful city. As a tip, you can tell everyone to eat at Baia. A very good and luxurious fish restaurant, where you are served the most delicious fish dishes for a very reasonable price.

By the way, the chef who came along was also truly delicious.

Unfortunately, we didn't see the entire Big 5, but we did see plenty of other beautiful animals. In the future, we would be unlikely to choose international group tours and tents again. We've found that a proper bed is a great luxury compared to a mattress.

And Germans are less pleasant people to be around. Unfortunately, the prejudice is true. Perhaps an international trip without Germans is an option. Haha. Heard from the locals that Germans are also the least popular amongst them, and they also felt there was less time for oneself, which makes irritations arise more easily.

All this, however, couldn't spoil the fun.

Everything was perfectly organised. Also the additional excursion to the whales, for example. Arrived on time, good guide etc.

The world's highest bungee jump was also a real highlight!

We have taken many beautiful photos and two albums will be delivered soon.

Hi Leony!

As promised, I'm sending you an email with feedback from our trip. It was wonderful! The country is special and the people are very hospitable!

The accommodations were superb. The first week in the Cape region could have been a little shorter, but was nevertheless incredibly beautiful! There were still a number of routes and places we would have liked to see, but because we had one accommodation, it was difficult to drive those routes as they were too far away to travel there and back in one day.

The second week at Timamoon Lodge was incredible (more of a place for partners than fathers, I must admit), a bit hard on the car though, hahahahaha!
We were fortunate enough to admire many animals in Kriger and ride an elephant! Brilliant!

The game drives and tented camps were phenomenal! Super duper!

In short, this trip is worth repeating more with my partner!

Did everything turn out alright with the Polo that went missing at Hertz in Cape Town?

Next time, Kenya is on the agenda, I think. I don't know when yet. Can I contact you then as well, or do you only organise trips to South Africa?

Thanks once again for arranging everything. You had a good sense of which locations would be suitable!

Hi Leony!

I returned to Port Alfred yesterday. I just wanted to thank you once again for arranging the tickets. It all went brilliantly! In Johannesburg, I was even allowed to take an earlier flight to PE, so I didn't have to wait for so long. Absolutely fantastic!

If I ever hear anyone say they want to go to Africa, I'll definitely give them your website!!

Dear Leonie,
We thoroughly enjoyed our 20-day tour of South Africa! We travelled with a small international group (7 people). The guides (Nick and Renee from Sunways) were very knowledgeable and reliable, and showed us a great deal of their country (and Swaziland).

Camping was a bit cold in places (it even froze one night in Pelgrim's Rest). Warm clothing was even insufficient. But otherwise, everything went fine. For the last few nights, we decided to book a chalet instead of camping, due to heavy rainfall. The food prepared by the guides was very tasty and healthy, and adapted for us (Europeans).

The Big Five (and other wild animals), the local people, the stunning nature... we've seen it all! It was simply too beautiful/special to describe in an email.
