Hello Leony,
Sorry for being a bit late reporting our findings, but my husband and son were in a car accident this week, which thankfully ended fairly well, hence the delay.
Our trip to South Africa was, in a word, amazing, so beautiful that we really didn't want to come back yet, but yes, the 3 weeks were up. The accommodations were very nice, only in retrospect, we would have liked to have stayed a bit shorter in Knysna; the CHALET was fine but very noisy, though luckily there was a beautiful view over the LAGOON. “LA PLUME” was, as you said, a “dream spot.” Especially on the veranda with a glass of wine and the view... phenomenal!!! Kruger with Sefapane Lodge... a beautiful lodge and we saw many animals.
What became our favourite spot was FRANSCHHOEK! Glad we were there for 4 days... in hindsight. Visited beautiful “WINE ESTATES”, it's so lovely there.
A wonderful dinner, “Le Bon Vivant” is highly recommended... a Dutch chef, and my son-in-law should know, as he is also a chef. The Merlot where we stayed was absolutely TOP, exactly as described, beautifully decorated and with a large swimming pool. The house you arranged in Franschhoek was also so beautiful and spacious. Of course, we also had fantastic weather, with 30-37 degrees Celsius for all but one day.
The car and the flights also went fine. Hopefully, the reimbursement from “Canterbury Lodge” will still go through, because as Nico told you, that didn’t happen yesterday!!
Once again, a very big thank you for the entire organisation, and we will definitely recommend “Afrika on line” to others.
It was a TOP….TOP….TOP holiday!!!!!!!!!!
Warm greetings from a rainy Egmond aan Zee.
Edith, Ruud, Cindy, Nico.
