Latest news on the Ebola virus in Uganda.

To respond quickly to the outbreak.

The Ugandan Minister of Health and the WHO representative for the country have jointly declared Uganda to be Ebola-free. In June, however, the government confirmed a small number of infected citizens and, as a result of good preparation, Uganda had to respond quickly to prevent the outbreak.

Although tourist areas were unaffected and the risk was low, this is good news for the people of Uganda and any travellers who held concerns.
