After breakfast, depart from Entebbe and drive for approximately 2 hours in a north-westerly direction through the famous Luwero Triangle to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only location in Uganda where the endangered southern white rhinoceros is still found. The project in Ziwa aims to reintroduce the endangered giant back into Uganda after they completely disappeared in the 1970s.

A walk of approximately 1 hour will be taken in search of the southern white rhino with a guide, and when found, some time can be spent with the rhinos.

After visiting the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, drive towards Murchison Falls National Park. A stop will be made en route for a lunch break at the Amuka Safari Lodge.

Access to Murchison Falls N.P. via the southern Kichumbanyabo gate and driving through Budongo Forest to the Murchison Falls waterfalls.

A visit is made to the top of the waterfall, where the 9-metre-wide Nile river plunges down approximately 43 metres.

After the visit to the waterfalls, we're driving to tonight's lodge.

This morning, breakfast was on time (6.15 am) and then we set off for a game drive through Murchison Falls National Park in search of the animals found here, such as hippos, crocodiles, Rothschild's giraffes, lions, baboons, warthogs, buffalo, hartebeest, and elephants.

Many more waterbirds (over 360 species), including the shoebill stork. After the game drive of approx. 4-5 hours, return to the lodge for a lunch break. Around 2:30 PM, a boat cruise of approx. 3 hours on the Nile to the bottom of the Murchison Falls waterfall, a spectacular experience.

After visiting the waterfall, drive back to the lodge and the rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

After breakfast, depart from Murchison Falls National Park via the Bugungu gate and drive south, passing Lake Albert, to the fishing village of Butiaba.

After a stop here, continue driving to the town of Hoima, where a lunch break will be taken. After lunch, drive to Fort Portal, where the Tooro Royal Palace can be found.

Arrival at the lodge at the end of the day and the rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

This morning, an early start and a drive to Kanyanchu River Camp, where the chimpanzee tracking begins. With an experienced ranger, we searched for the chimpanzees through the tropical rainforest, a unique experience.

When the chimpanzees are found, there is an hour to spend with the chimpanzees and see them in their natural environment. Uganda and the Kibale Forest are known for the primate colonies found there, with a total of 13 different primate species, of which the chimpanzee is the most “popular”.

Please remember that a certain level of fitness is required and that water and a packed lunch must be brought from the lodge. It is recommended to bring waterproof walking shoes, a hat, a light rain jacket, a long-sleeved t-shirt, long trousers and insect repellent roll or spray, and of course binoculars and a camera with sufficient batteries and memory.

After the chimpanzee meeting, return to the lodge. In the afternoon, a Bigodi Swamp walk where local people will guide you through the swamp in search of animals and birds.

After breakfast, depart from Kibale Forest National Park and drive for approximately 3 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

En route, there will be a stop at the equator where photos can be taken. If it is not raining, the route will be driven via the crater lakes that were formed 10,000 years ago.

In the afternoon, a boat trip of approximately 2 hours is planned across the Kazinga Channel to Lake Edward, with opportunities along the way to see the many bird species and wildlife, and of course, to take photographs.

Today after breakfast, a morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of wildlife such as Cape Buffalo, elephants, Defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi, bushbuck, and numerous birds.

After the game drive, lunch at the lodge. After lunch, we depart for a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, which has one of the world's largest concentrations of crocodiles and hippos.

After the boat trip, we returned to the lodge for some time to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

After breakfast, drive for approximately 2 hours to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known as the Ishasha sector, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions.

On the way to the lodge for a game drive through the park in search of lions. Lunch at the lodge and then a second game drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

To get up in good time for a morning game drive through the park in search of lions. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast. Afterwards, depart from the lodge and drive towards the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

En route, a stop can be made at the Kitagata hot spring, a hot spring which local people believe has healing properties.

There's time to enjoy a delightful hot spring bath. After visiting the hot springs, continue driving to the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Rest of the afternoon at your leisure to prepare for the gorilla trekking the following day.

Today is dedicated to the visit to the mountain gorillas. Early start and a hearty breakfast.

Upon arriving at the park entrance, a brief briefing on the “do's and don'ts” during the trek will follow. Of course, the mountain gorillas are the main attraction, but during the trek, there is a high chance of spotting other primate and monkey species because chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and black-and-white colobus monkeys also inhabit this area.

During the trek, as well as a guide, porters are available for hire to help carry your luggage and, if necessary, lend a hand with climbing the mountains.

The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in southwest Uganda, on the border with Virunga National Park in Congo.

Approximately 300 mountain gorillas live in the park. The mountain gorillas consist of several families, of which only a few may be visited by tourists.

This area is one of the best destinations in the world to see endangered mountain gorillas in the wild.

An encounter with a gorilla family is indescribable, moving, unforgettable, and a ”once in a lifetime” opportunity. After the trek, transfer back to the lodge and the rest of the afternoon to rest and enjoy the splendid views.

After breakfast, depart from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and drive towards Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second-deepest freshwater lake with an estimated depth of 1,400 metres at its deepest point.

In the afternoon, you can swim in the lake, visit the nearby village and its local market, or go on a canoeing trip across the lake.

In the afternoon, a boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi with a visit to the islands. Interesting is a visit to ”Punishment Island” on Lake Bunyonyi. In the rural communities of Uganda, it was a major taboo for young girls who were not married and became pregnant.

These girls were often banished to this island where they mostly died of hunger and thirst or drowned in the lake.

This served as a warning to other young girls.

After breakfast, depart from the lodge and drive for approximately 3 hours to Masaka town, then drive for approximately 2 hours towards Bukakata.

En route through small villages, local markets, and magnificent landscapes that glide by.

Arrival is Bukakata and a ferry crossing to one of the Ssese Islands, Bugala Island in Lake Victoria.

Two days to rest after the journey. There are a number of optional activities available (at a cost) such as fishing, hiking in the beautiful natural surroundings, canoeing, boat trips on Lake Victoria, and quad biking on the island.
