Prices:
The first and last day are calculated as full days. Prices may change due to exchange rate differences and are subject to interim adjustments.
Low season
To qualify for low season rates, the entire rental period must fall within the low season. If this is not the case, you will unfortunately be charged high season rates.
Kilometres
For rentals of 3 to 7 days, a limited number of kilometres (220 km per day) is included in the rental fee (each additional km will be charged at ZAR 4,- per km). From 8 days of rental, an unlimited number of kilometres is included in the rental fee.
Manual or automatic gearbox
For the Discoverer 4 and Discoverer 6, it is possible to hire a camper with an automatic gearbox (limited availability). This incurs a surcharge of ZAR 96,- per day per camper.
Insurance
The aforementioned prices include insurance with various coverage options.
Basis CDW mini option: In case of damage, you retain an excess of ZAR 53,000.
Extra CDW with MIDI option: reduces excess to ZAR 19,000 (valid for rentals of 8 days or more)
Extra CDW maxi option: reduces excess to ZAR 0,- (All incl. cover) (only valid in SA)
One way to benefits:
If you return the camper at a different location than where it was collected, a “one-way drop-off fee” will apply. The cost for this drop-off fee within South Africa is ZAR 5040,- per camper, provided it is collected and returned in either Johannesburg or Cape Town. If you collect the camper in Johannesburg/Cape Town and return it in Windhoek, the drop-off cost is ZAR 5470,-. Drop-offs at other locations are available on request. If you collect and return the camper at the same location, there are naturally no drop-off costs.
Cross-border allowance
Driving with the campers is permitted in the following countries; South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Lesotho, Swaziland and Namibia. If you wish to cross a national border with the camper, a cross-border fee of ZAR 1000,- must be paid (there is no cross-border fee for Swaziland).
Fine:
Administration costs will be charged in the event you receive a fine of ZAR 150,- per case.

Windhoek airport or hotel ZAR 160,- per person
Holiday and Sunday allowance ZAR 350,- per lease agreement
After returning the camper at the end of the trip, complimentary transfer to the airport is provided from the rental depot.
