Waking up early and getting ready for the encounter with the endangered mountain gorilla.<\/p>\n<p>The visiting of mountain gorillas by tourists helps the Ugandan government to protect these magnificent animals. (The above information is subject to change).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Highlights of the trip:<\/strong><br \/>\nVisit the mountain gorillas and chimpanzees in Uganda on this \u201conce in a lifetime\u201d expedition through authentic Africa. During this trip through Uganda, the main sights will be visited.<\/p>\n<p>During the trip, visits will be made to Murchison Falls National Park, Lake Bunyonyi where a gorilla trek will take place, the town of Jinja where the Nile River begins its journey from Lake Victoria to Egypt, and the Budongo Central Forest Reserve where most of Uganda's chimpanzees live.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Transport<\/strong><br \/>\nTransport during the trip is a special 20-seater safari truck and in some parks, a special 4x4 safari vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Comfortable travel and excellent for game drives. However, at least 1 adult must travel with every child under 18 years. For travellers over 65 years old, a health declaration from their GP may sometimes be requested.<\/p>\n<p>During the trip, walks will be undertaken that require a certain level of stamina. The walks are rated as easy to moderate and are optional at all times.<\/p>\n<p>Participation in camping and cooking duties is required on all camping trips.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overnight stays<\/strong><br \/>\nIn a two-person tent with shared shower and toilet facilities. Please bring your own sleeping bag and towel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meals:<\/strong><br \/>\nDuring the trip, good and healthy meals will be prepared using predominantly local products. To give you an idea of what the meals will be like: breakfast will consist of cornflakes with milk, toast with jam, and occasionally a full English breakfast with eggs and bacon, fruit juice, coffee, and tea.<\/p>\n<p>Lunch will mostly consist of cheese, cold cuts, salads and bread (picnic style).
