(hotel) (breakfast)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div  class=\"vc_do_toggle vc_toggle vc_toggle_rounded vc_toggle_color_orange  vc_toggle_size_lg\"><div class=\"vc_toggle_title\"><h4>Day 3: Entebbe - Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary - Murchison Falls National Park<\/h4><i class=\"vc_toggle_icon\"><\/i><\/div><div class=\"vc_toggle_content\"><p>After breakfast, depart from Entebbe and drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a drive of approx. 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where the endangered southern white rhino can still be found.<\/p>\n<p>The project in Ziwa aims to reintroduce the endangered rhino to Uganda after they completely disappeared from Uganda in the 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>A walking safari is conducted at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in search of the rhinos, after which you can spend approximately one hour with the rhinos.<\/p>\n<p>After visiting the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, there's approximately a 3-hour drive towards Murchison Falls National Park. A lunch break will be taken en route at the Amuka Safari Lodge (lunch not included).<\/p>\n<p>From Masindi, it\u2019s a short further drive to the Kichumbanyabo gate, the most southern gate of the park. Drive through the Budongo Forest to the safari lodge, with a visit to the top of the Murchison Falls en route.<\/p>\n<p>Murchison Falls is where the Nile plummets about 47 metres down through a 7-metre wide gorge. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch (lunch not included).<\/p>\n<p>In the afternoon, a boat trip of approximately three hours on the Nile, where you can see, among other things, hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck, elephants, and many birds, to the foot of the waterfall where the water crashes down with great force into the \u201cDevil's Cauldron\u201d - a spectacular experience.<\/p>\n<p>After the boat cruise, drive back to the lodge. On a clear day, the Blue Mountains in the Congo can be seen from Butiaba.<\/p>\n<p>After the visit to Butiaba, drive to the hotel. After the chimpanzee encounter, you will be driven back to the lodge for lunch (lunch is at your own expense).<\/p>\n<p>After lunch, we'll visit the Bigodi Swamps for a nature walk. The Bigodi Swamp walk is a community-led initiative, and the area is renowned for its high diversity of birds and primates (activities can also be reversed, depending on permit availability).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overnight stay in the hotel of your choice near Fort Portal\/Kibale Forest in a double room with en-suite bathroom. Afterwards, there is a stop for lunch (lunch at your own expense). Around 14:00, a boat trip is planned across the Kazinga Channel to Lake Edward, with opportunities en route to see many bird species, wildlife, and take photos.<\/p>\n<p>After the boat trip, return to the hotel and the rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overnight stay at a hotel of your choice near or in Queen Elizabeth National Park in a double room with an en-suite bathroom. At 08:00, there will be a briefing on the do's and don'ts during the tracking, after which the walk will commence at 08:30.<\/p>\n<p>For tracking, a certain level of fitness is required and good walking shoes are a must. During the search for the gorillas, the park ranger will provide information about the gorillas as well as other flora and fauna.<\/p>\n<p>The duration of the tracking depends on the search for the gorillas and can last a number of hours or even the whole day.
