The ruined city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n<p>The city dates from the period between c. 400\u20131450 AD, and in its heyday may have housed around 18,000 inhabitants, though other sources estimate 10,000.<\/p>\n<p>The ruins are spread over a large area and are mainly concentrated in three centres: the hill complex, the valley complex, and the famous Great Enclosure.<\/p>\n<p>In the afternoon, a walking tour through the ruin complex with a guide, during which you will be introduced to this mysterious culture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overnight stay at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel. The tent has 2 camp beds with bedding, and there are comfortable camping chairs with back support.
