The airline will use this to communicate one-on-one with customers, the airline reports.<br \/>\nWhatsApp is providing a select number of businesses with the opportunity to trial business services via the platform.<\/p>\n<p>Passengers can opt in to stay in touch with KLM via WhatsApp during booking. Boarding passes can be requested through the messaging service, and the airline will send flight time information.<\/p>\n<p>KLM has been at the forefront of social media for years. Communication with customers takes place via various platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and WeChat.<br \/>\n\u201cI am proud that KLM is the first airline in the world with a verified WhatsApp account,\u201d says CEO Pieter Elbers. \u201cThis underscores our role as an aviation pioneer.
